BusinessOnePBX
|
|
|
BusinessOnePBX
is a complete standalone Voice over IP PBX (telephone
system) utilizing special Internet Long Distance
Plans.
BusinessOnePBX
expands upon many of the features included in a traditional
PBX by utilizing internet technology. Features such as long
distance and a web based voicemail are just two of the many
ways that the internet is used to enhance the phone system.
Voicemail
features have been upgraded to take advantage of the
internet. In addition to the traditional features such as
rewind, fast-forward, personalized away messages, and MWI
(Message Waiting Indication), BusinessOnePBX
will send the user an email notification of any received
voice messages with an attached file to play the voicemail
received. The email notification also has a link to the web
interface to check and handle all new and old voicemails.
The same mailbox number and password is used as when
accessing from the phone or the web interface. Once logged
in, users can play, delete, or save their messages.
***This
feature requires QuickTime to play messages***
Waiting for
a technician has also become a thing of the past, since
BusinessOnePBX is
connected to the internet, any configuration changes and
software updates can be done remotely.
Long
distance calling has been upgraded to take full advantage of
the internet using VoIP technology (Voice over Internet
Protocol). This creates sizable cost savings for the
customer compared to service from a traditional phone
company. Dialing long distance calls over the internet also
means that long distance calls will not tie up phone lines.
In fact, with BusinessOnePBX,
users will never have to wait for a free phone line; if all
physical phone lines are busy, the call could be placed over
the internet (long distance rates apply).
There is no
need for the long distance savings to end at work. You can
extend the savings beyond the office by creating a password
to allow outside callers to always benefit from your long
distance service.
